Is this true redaction?
This is visual redaction: opaque boxes cover the content on screen and in print. The underlying text objects remain in the file — for legally safe redaction, also flatten via print-to-PDF or use our future content-removal version.
Why show a warning about the text layer?
Because covered text can still be extracted by tools that ignore appearance. We would rather over-inform than let secrets leak.
